The Performing Arts & Technology High School Band Department’s mission is to create dynamic, thoughtful musicians that excel in both individual and group settings.
Students receive a comprehensive, well-rounded music education. They begin in small groups, where they learn basic musical concepts through playing their instruments. As their ability level increases, students begin to perform publicly and transition to larger ensemble settings, where they learn to use their individual musical skills as part of a greater group effort. Aside from musical skills, band students develop excellent self-discipline and the ability to contribute to a larger group. We seek to inspire students to pursue a lifetime of musicianship.
